Trips aren't being detected

Automatic detection needs Always location access. Check iPhone Settings → Privacy & Security → Location Services → Odo, then make sure Track drives automatically is on in Odo's Settings tab. Detection is based on arrival and departure events, so a trip normally appears a few minutes after you park, not while you are still moving. Journeys under about half a kilometre are ignored on purpose.

A trip's distance looks slightly off

Where iOS gives Odo only the two endpoints of a drive and no points in between, the app estimates the road distance rather than the straight line, which is close but not exact. Tap any trip to correct the distance by hand — your figure is kept.

The rate changed. Do I have to wait for an update?

No. Settings tab → Rates — every tier is editable, and your edits survive app updates. Rates are data in Odo, not something baked into the code, precisely so a mid-year change never leaves you stuck.

Why did my rate drop partway through the year?

In the UK the approved rate is 55p for your first 10,000 business miles in the tax year and 25p after that. The threshold is cumulative across the whole year rather than per journey, so trips taken after you pass 10,000 miles are worth less. The Claim tab shows how far you are from the threshold. In Australia the equivalent is a 5,000km cap on the cents-per-kilometre method.

When does the tax year reset?

6 April for the UK and 1 July for Australia — Odo follows the scheme you have selected, not the calendar year.

I switched between miles and kilometres and my history looks different

Distances are stored in metres and converted only for display, so switching units changes what you see but never rewrites what was recorded. Switching country also changes which rates apply going forward.

Exporting for my tax return

Claim tab → Export for your tax return. The CSV lists every business trip with its date, route, reason, distance and the rate actually applied to it — that rate can vary through the year as you cross the threshold — plus a totals row and the rate source, so your accountant can check the working.

Restore a purchase

Settings tab → Restore purchases. Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID you bought with.

Manage or cancel a subscription

Subscriptions are managed by Apple: iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions, or tap here.
